Treasures from the past 🕰️

There are plenty of corners of the pub that aren’t open to the public, and this afternoon I found myself lifting old carpet as part of bringing the original Jarrah floorboards back to life. I’ll share the before and after soon, I promise.

But along the way, look what turned up.

A 1944 Australian penny with King George on the back, and an old Swan Gold bottle cap complete with its cork lining, something that was phased out in the early 60s. 🪙 🦢
